Vitamin E may add years to certain individuals’ lives

Research that was published in the journal Age and Ageing suggests that some males may extend their life expectancy by taking vitamin E.

The study, conducted at the University of Helsinki in Finland, revealed that men over the age of 71 may reduce their mortality by 24 percent by taking supplements of the antioxidant compound.

Additionally, in individuals who took above-average doses of vitamin C and smoked less than a pack of cigarettes per day, taking supplemental vitamin E resulted in an extra two years added on their lifespan.

The National Institutes of Health has reported that vitamin E may support immune function and it dilates blood vessels, promoting a healthy cardiovascular system. The institution recommends about 23 international units (IU) of the antioxidant daily.

Results of the study suggest that men may be able to spend more time with their families and live more fulfilling lives by supplementing their nutritional intake. Vitamins, like those offered by Dr. Newton’s Naturals, have been shown to promote good health, which can mean years added to one’s life.
