Vitamin B-12 deficiency linked to bone loss in older women

A study conducted at UC San Francisco has revealed that older women with low levels of vitamin B-12 are more likely to experienced accelerated bone loss as they continue to age.

More than 80 women over the age of 64 were chosen and their hip bone density was documented over the course of six years.
