Study finds mortality risk increased by large waistline

Most people would agree they would like a successful, happy and long life. In order to accomplish these things, you may have worked hard in school to go to a good college and land the job of your dreams. Maybe you were also lucky enough to meet the man or woman of your dreams and have a loving family. These take care of the successful and happy aspects of your life, but what about a long life?

Health and longevity go hand in hand. This is why you’re always reading about the importance of staying physically active and hearing from your doctor that you need to watch your weight. In fact, a recent study found there is an increased mortality risk in older people who have large waistlines. You can’t always control what job you get or many other aspects of your life, but your weight is something that’s all up to you, and it is now one of the leading causes of preventable death.
